The Swedish police announced that a company affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has sent divisive messages to citizens.
The Swedish Security Police announced that they are conducting a preliminary investigation into a serious data breach by a foreign power. According to the report, a cyber group backed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) infiltrated a mass messaging company last summer and sent 15,000 text messages, urging people to take revenge on those who had burned the Quran.
The Swedish Security Police confirmed that this cyber group aimed to portray Sweden as a country hostile to Islam and to create division within society.
Swedish judicial authorities also stated that, due to the suspects' activities being conducted on behalf of a foreign power, there is no possibility of legal prosecution or extradition to Sweden, leading to the closure of the case.
