Iranian drones targeted the office of Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, according to The Jerusalem Post. The attack is the latest act of aggression by the terrorist Iranian regime against the Kurdistan Region.
The regime gains little strategically from such strikes beyond intimidation and disruption. By attacking Kurdish leadership, the bloodthirsty regime seeks to weaken regional stability, undermine diplomatic efforts, and send a message of fear to its opponents. It also aims to project power despite its internal crises and international isolation.
This is not the first time the terrorist Iranian regime has tried to kill Kurdish leaders. It has a long record of cross-border assassinations, drone strikes, and terror plots targeting Kurdish officials and activists. The regime will never stop terrorizing the region as long as it exists.
The only viable solution for lasting peace and stability in the Middle East is the destruction of this evil, oppressive regime. The world must not allow the Iranian regime to recover or regroup. It must be ended now, while it is still possible, before it causes even greater bloodshed.
The regime has also been accused of openly threatening former President Donald Trump, Melania Trump, and Barron Trump. Such threats against American citizens show the regime's global terror ambitions and its disregard for international law.
In an exclusive interview with Rudaw24, Rehend Mariwani, founder of the Kurdistan Future Movement—an armed group fighting inside Iran and near its borders—spoke about the regime's assassination attempts.
"The Only Way to to ave peace truly peace in the middle ieast is to have this regime detroyed..." Mariwani told Rudaw24.
Mariwani also sent a direct message to Iran's Shia population, urging them to stand with the rest of Iran. He stressed that this is not a religious war and that Shia communities will be able to achieve far more once the terrorist Iranian regime is gone.
As the Iranian regime continues its campaign of terror, the international community must recognize that regional stability cannot be achieved until this regime is dismantled. The attack on Prime Minister Barzani's office is a stark reminder that the regime's terror knows no borders.
