The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced plans to establish the first-ever multinational, multi-domain attack drone strike force. The new unit, named Task Force Falcon Strike, will integrate one-way attack drones operating from the air, surface, and underwater domains.
According to CENTCOM, the force will be operated by military personnel from the United States and partner nations in the region. Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of CENTCOM, stated that Falcon Strike will build on the Scorpion Strike unit, which was formed nine months ago as the first specialized drone strike squadron in the Middle East.
Cooper added that the United States has started consulting with regional partners. As these partners join, the group's capabilities will grow, creating a unified multinational deterrence system in the region.
