Public protests in Iran continue in Tehran and many other cities across the country. These demonstrations, reflecting widespread social, economic, and political dissatisfaction, show that a significant portion of society demands change, justice, and respect for fundamental citizen rights. The presence of protesters in public spaces expresses long-standing grievances that have not received effective responses.
In response, security measures and a broad crackdown on freedom advocates have intensified. Widespread arrests, severe communication restrictions, pressure on civil activists, and violent confrontations with demonstrators have created an environment of concern and insecurity. These approaches have not reduced protests and have deepened public distrust and the gap between society and the authorities.
The continuation of this situation indicates that the resolution of existing crises cannot be achieved through repression and restriction. Ignoring the legitimate demands of the people and denying the right to protest will only prolong dissatisfaction and escalate tensions. Achieving lasting stability and peace requires respect for citizens’ rights, freedom of expression, and creating genuine channels for dialogue with society.
