Amnesty International has issued a serious warning over the imminent risk of execution of Ahmadreza Djalali, an Iranian-Swedish physician and researcher.
The human rights organization stated that Djalali was recently transferred from Tehran’s Evin Prison to an undisclosed location, raising grave concerns about the possibility of a sudden and imminent execution.
Amnesty International criticized the judicial process in Djalali’s case, describing it as unfair and in violation of international legal standards. The organization has called for an immediate halt to any plans for his execution and demanded his unconditional release.
It has also described his continued detention as a blatant violation of human rights and urged the international community to intensify diplomatic pressure on the Iranian authorities to prevent this execution.
