Britain allocates $750,000 to the IAEA mission in Ukraine
The British Foreign Office announced that the UK authorities have allocated $750,000 to finance the work of the IAEA mission in Ukraine
"The additional funding announced today will help the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) continue its vital work in Ukraine, supporting and advising the Ukrainian government on nuclear security matters," the British Foreign Office said in a statement on Wednesday.
The Foreign Ministry pointed out that since the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, the British government has allocated 5 million pounds (6.2 million dollars) to support the efforts of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Ukraine.
During a session of the Agency's Board of Directors, the British delegate to the International Atomic Energy Agency, Corinne Kitsell, expressed Britain's concern about the consequences of the destruction of the Kakhovskaya dam.
