Trump: If elected president, federal employees must pass a political test or be fired
Former US President Donald Trump said that if he returns to the White House, he will authorize federal employees to take the civil service test and workers who do not pass it will be fired.
And according to Russia Today, he said in a recorded video clip, "I will ask every federal employee to pass a new civil service test, which indicates an understanding of our limited founding government," noting that "the test will include issues of controlling due process rights, equal protection, freedom of expression, religious freedom, and the Fourth Amendment to protect the Constitution from searches and seizures."
He added, "We will put the unelected bureaucrats back in their place, work to adjust the American economy and attract millions of jobs and trillions of dollars to us."
Trump had previously called for new requirements for federal employees. And in March last year, he called for laws to make every employee working under the executive branch subject to dismissal by the president.
