All Hashdi Shaabi forces receive monthly salaries like other Iraqi soldiers. Hashdi Shaabi has very close relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and only implements Tehran's decisions in Iraq and the region. It can be said that this organization is a strong military-security arm of the Islamic Republic.
