A British court has fined environmental activists £3,500 for repairing a statue of King Charles III at Madame Tussauds in London after attacking it with a chocolate cake
According to the British newspaper "Evening Standard"
Ellie McFadden, 20, and Tom Johnson, 29, were photographed beating a cake in the face of the king's statue during a "just stop oil" protest at the museum in October, the newspaper said
Last year in court
Both men pleaded not guilty to the charges. But they were found guilty at trial, and the court also ordered them to pay £1,750 each in damages to the museum owner.
The money will be spent on the damage caused to the statue of the king
