Israel launched a missile attack on Damascus international airport northeast of Lake Tiberias early this morning, the Syrian news agency SANA reported.
Two soldiers were killed and two others wounded in the attack.
Damascus International Airport has been shut down due to the attack.
The Israeli army has repeatedly targeted both Damascus and Aleppo international airports in Syria on the grounds that Iran is transporting weapons and military equipment through these airports.
Recently, Israel threatened to bomb Beirut International Airport on the grounds that Iranian airline Mahan Air was transporting weapons to Hezbollah through the airport.
The US and Israeli militaries have been targeting pro-Iranian armed groups in Syria for years.
