Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has issued a statement on his health condition

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has denied that he has suffered a heart attack.

Erdogan fell ill during a television program and was forced to leave the program, after rumors spread that Erdogan had suffered a heart attack.

Presidential spokesman Fakhreddin Altuni tweeted that Erdogan had suffered a heart attack.

"Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will attend the opening of the nuclear power plant through videoconference today," Altuni wrote.

Meanwhile, Vice President Fuat Oktay and AKP spokesman Ömer Çelik expressed their dissatisfaction with the allegations of Erdogan's illness.
