Kevin McCarthy on Trump impeachment: Congress will hold Manhattan attorney general accountable over politicized accusations
US House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy considered that Manhattan Attorney General Alvin Bragg is trying to interfere in the democratic process by filing politicized accusations against former President Donald Trump.
On his Twitter account, Kevin McCarthy wrote: “Alvin Bragg is trying to interfere with our democratic process by invoking federal law to bring politicized charges against President Trump, admittedly using federal funds, while at the same time arguing that the people’s representatives in Congress lack jurisdiction to investigate this farce.”
McCarthy added, "It's not. Congress will hold Prague accountable for arming the federal justice process."
